Young Adults

FBC is serving a growing group in our young adult ministry for those just graduated high school to those with young families. We have opportunities for Bible study, fellowship, and activities every week and throughout the year. If you are looking for somewhere to plug in then please don't hesitate to reach out to us.   • Young Adult Sunday School

    Teachers: Travis & Clara Black and Isaac & Teresa Keeler

    The Young Adult class is led by our Associate Pastor for Worship & Young Adults, Travis Black, and our Director of Children's and Missions, Teresa Keeler, with their spouses. The class is for all young adults who are single, newly married with or without kids. 

  • The Forge College & Young Pros

    Teacher: David & Jessica Stephenson

    Room 201

    The Forge College and Young Professionals is geared to 18-25 year old students who sharpen each other based on Proverbs 27:17. Featuring Bible Studies for Life curriculum, discussion, and life application every Sunday during the Sunday School hour at 9:30am.

    The Forge Thursday Bible Study 

    The Forge Thursday Bible Study is topically, video driven studies by engaging authors meeting every Thursday from January until November 16 at 7pm each night in the Stephenson home. Snacks and refreshments always provided. 

    The Forge Game Nights

    Game Nights are a fun time of fellowship and bonding as friends through adventurous board games and snacks. It's always a fun event to invite your friends! Meets one Friday a month in the Stephenson home at 7pm.

    Quarterly Guys & Girls Night

    Guys and Girls meet at our house. The groups split to go do their designated activities. Contact David or Jessica for the time and date.

    Newly married, single, college & career young adults desiring to have a vital faith in a changing world. Features discussion and real world application.

AxiA-UMKC organization

Axia is an on campus organization of UMKC that FBC supports. FBC members, David & Jessica Stephenson and Marissa Wilson (also a UMKC student) along with UMKC student, Miki Hamilton lead the organization. The goal for Axia is to spiritually train students to raise awareness for human trafficking. Axia raises awareness for human trafficking by partnering with Restoration House to regularly volunteer. 

Axia meets every Tuesday at 5:30pm on UMKC campus with regular extra curricular activities. Tuesday meetings begin August 21 with a picnic on campus.
