A Christmas Gathering

To All our Friends,

Hopefully, this letter finds you well. We are in the middle of summer and we pray that you are finding ways to enjoy the sun with your friends and family.

We’ve been praying for you all as we navigate these “uncharted” waters together. We pray that you and your families are staying well and seeking hard after Jesus during these unnerving times!

After much prayer, much deliberation, many meetings, much prayer, careful consideration and much prayer, we have determined it best to forgo “A Christmas Gathering” this year. With all the uncertainty, the changing guidelines and along with our need of early planning, we just did not feel like we could safely or responsibly make it happen. Please know this was not an easy decision and certainly not what we would have chosen, but we feel it is in the best interest of everyone.

At one time or another we face uncertainty. The reality is none of us are secure in this world EXCEPT in Christ. He is the exception. In Him we find our security and our strength. So, as the Holidays approach keep celebrating Jesus! He is our answer! And He is worth celebrating!

We wanted to leave you with a few verses to meditate on!

Psalm 46:1-2 “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…”

Isaiah 40:31 “But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Ephesians 6:10-12 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

Psalm 91:1-2 “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, ‘My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!’”

Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Choose today to rely on His help not to "worry about anything," but instead "pray about everything."

Much Love,
